About Me
Introduction
Hi there, I'm Raymond, the founder of Mondford Watches, and I'm so glad you've found your way here. Over the past 40 years, I've devoted my time to the art of traditional watchmaking, building each timepiece by hand with patience and care.
What began as a small passion project in my workshop has become a meaningful way to connect with others who appreciate craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
The Journey
It all started in a modest workshop with a few simple tools and a fascination with the process itself, seeing how each piece comes together, hearing the gentle tick of a finished mechanism.
Through the years, I've spent countless hours at the bench, guided by curiosity and a love of creating something tangible.
Why I Love What I Do
For me, watchmaking has always been about more than telling time. It's about creating something personal and expressive.
Every watch I make reflects hours of careful work, choosing materials, refining designs, and assembling each part by hand.
There's a quiet satisfaction in seeing a piece come together, knowing the care that went into it, and imagining the new stories it will become part of.
Looking Ahead
As I reach this later stage in my journey, my focus remains on making pieces that combine beauty and function.
Each of my remaining works represents what I've learned over four decades, created in small numbers, at a pace that feels right, and finished with the same attention I've always brought to the craft.
Thank you for being here. Your support means more than I can say. And if one of my watches ends up on your wrist, I hope it brings you enjoyment and connection in the years ahead.
